Write a Journal

Your voice matters! Journals are a place for reflection, and give volunteers a chance to process their experiences. Journals also provide GG National important insight into volunteer experience.

Write journals to:

  • Share your stories from GG Senior Home visits, Chapter Recruitment Events, Chapter Meetings, GG National Events, and more.

    • Thoughtfully reflect after an event to remember meaningful interactions

    • Include any pics you take 📸

  • Have a chance to be featured on our blog and social media accounts

  • Qualify for exclusive rewards & recognition from GG National (including Glammy Scholarships and Letters of Recommendation)

When journaling, please keep these important guidelines in mind:

  • Write at least 250 characters per entry

  • Reflect about your GG experience and/or respond to the prompts provided

  • Use your own words - we want to hear your original voice (not AI's 🤖)

Please note that journals no longer count towards service hours, bur rather they stand alone as their own key aspect of GG programming. The GG National team encourages you to be reflective when sharing your special GG moments. Any journals that do not meet the above criteria may be removed at GG National’s discretion. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us - we’re here to help!
