Seniors Who Inspire

Eilee M, Vice President of the Blanchet Catholic School chapter, reflects on how the seniors she has met through GlamourGals visits have inspired her.

I truthfully only joined GlamourGals to get my service requirements done for a year and did not expect it to make a difference in my life, but through this unique volunteer group, I have discovered my passion for caring and making a difference in the world.

Working with my other leaders and our advisor, we have met dozens of seniors, engaged in numerous activities, and grown our chapter from four to fifty-seven members. It took a lot to get people excited about service, but the true inspiration is the seniors. Through GlamourGals, I have met dozens of amazing women, like Mona and Carol. They share wild stories about their past in exchange for a few minutes of attention and kindness, and show me how I want to live my life: unafraid and unapologetic. This club is extremely important to me because it is more than just service. It is giving back and making connections like no other.
