The Power of Service

Maryanne K, President of Delsea High School’s chapter, reflects on how being in GlamourGals has brought her strength during the hard times in her life.

As I reflect back on my time as a Delsea High School’s Glamour Gals Personal Relations Officer and my time remaining as President, I think back to all the amazing memories that I created and shared with others! I have experienced the greatest time throughout the last 3 years- building new friendships with other classmates, forming new relationships with residents in senior homes, and having the final leadership role as President to expand and lead my chapter. I have been blessed with the opportunity to also attend Glamour Gals meetings with other chapter leaders to discuss planning and execution of new ideas or approaches to promote in our chapter and we have been able to send a few of our chapter leaders throughout the years to GG headquarters in NYC for luncheons. It has truly been a blast! Within the last couple of years, I have struggled with a multitude of different things that have been a major roadblock to overcome in my life. These setbacks have not held me back, but instead fueled my desire to be a nurse.
