More Than Just a Card

Faith S, a senior at Bay Port High School, reflects on how the My Dear Friend card campaign has had a positive impact on her life, in and out of GlamourGals.

Throughout my GG involvement, my 235 seasonal homemade cards have provided the opportunity for me to spread joy to seniors while incorporating my love of art. A few seniors shared with me how much they enjoy exchanging these cards at dinner. During our visits, I have been able to meet many wonderful seniors and hear the meaningful stories from their lives. My involvement in GlamourGals has been an experience that fills my heart knowing that I am impacting someone else’s day in such a positive way; however, the seniors are impacting my life just as much. It has taught me how one small act of kindness can create such a positive impact.
